The foundations Klassieke Salon and International League of Fine Art Schools ILFAS (working together under the umbrella organization Classical Art Center) are planning a combined event; a special platform for encounters of Western and Eastern art: WE-Connect
Shanghai in Groningen
A group of Chinese artists from Shanghai will expose their works in the Forma Aktua gallery, Groningen, Mai 27 – June 7, 2026. The exhibition is organized by Shanghai Fuyi Cultural Communication Company; Night Voyage Ship: Guoyi Culture Platform and ILFAS foundation; Co-organizer Shanghai International Culture Association; Shanghai Municipal Association for Cultural Exchanges; Classical Art Centre/ Classical Salon foundations and is supported by School of Fine Arts, Shanghai Normal University; Shanghai Oilpainting and Sculpture Institute and the Classical Academy, Netherlands.

Xi’an, China
To mark the 20th anniversary of the friendship treaty between the provinces of Groningen, Netherlands, and Shaanxi, China, another exhibition exchange is being organised. For the Netherlands, six artists will be presented by the ILFAS foundation in Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi.
Participants are: Dorry van de Winkel; Geurt Busser; Jan van Loon (watercolours); Tom S Hageman (gouaches, oilpaints); Wim Jonkman (lithographs); Zwaan Stoker (oilpaints)
Shaanxi in Groningen and Drenthe
The Classical Salon Foundation is simultaneously presenting artworks by 26 Chinese artists in the Netherlands, starting in october in the ‘Hundred Flowers Pavilion’ at the Chinese Ming Garden at the Hortus in Haren and november at the ‘Van Loon Museum’ in Assen.
